Following an internal flood caused by a damaged waterpipe, Alabas was asked to submit a competitive tender for the reinstatement of 9 flooded apartments in Lifestory’s high end retirement development ‘The Vincent’ in Clifton, Bristol.
Project Details
Having won the tender, Alabas commenced the reinstatement of the apartments including replacing the underfloor heating as well as fully decorating the apartments and installing new floor finishings.
The project was logistically challenging as all works were taking place within an occupied development, necessitating restricted working hours. Additionally, it was very important that great care was taken when liaising with the people living there. In fact, the team really enjoyed chatting with the residents, and built up such a good relationship that they started receiving homemade cakes regularly on a Friday afternoon – a huge bonus for our cake loving team!
Standards needed to be really high given the upscale nature of the apartments and we were delighted to receive great feedback from Lifestory and the request to undertake additional works which we were happy to carry out.
